The Audience

We’ve been whispering to each
other. Never told what we’re
watching, it has started sounding
like the title is, The Fall and Rise.

Great performance shouldn’t be
a secret. We should know what
keeps us seated. I’ve put my
money on best screenplay. We

know the writer’s fealty to the
story. Whose story my guess is
as good anywhere, any time.
The bad guy still center, stage

crowded. He gets no punch lines
as he comes across as an idiot.
Seatmates are smiling. I’m glad
it’s fiction, as it says crime pays.
